Milford has really opened up and loves to be around us.
He loves to play - his favorite toy is a stray pen cap!
He also sleeps in the cutest positions...

We've finished torturing Milford with the antibiotics, and he seems (obviously) much happier.
He's hiding from us less and has started to play.
He was /hilarious/ yesterday - he discovered the fish tank! As he was reaching a paw up to tap the glass, he stepped on a beanbag chair.... and jumped about a mile when it moved underneath him!
He spent about five minutes tentatively reaching a paw out to poke the beanbag, then retreating before finally launching an all out assault on the offending, unsteady step!
He pounced on it and rolled around and was all around supremely cute. I sadly didn't have my camera on me at the time (and didn't want to move and disturb him).
I'll try for more pictures very soon!

Milford appears to be finally feeling better - his appetite has returned! He had been refusing to touch his dry food and only eating some of his wet, but now he's hoovering down everything in site.
We have four more days of medicine, then we can stop torturing the poor little guy. He's still taking everything like a trooper though - doesn't hiss or try to scratch. He does recognize the pilling towel though and has a definite aversion to it!
We've discovered he hates our dryer! It's the only thing he's been scared of yet - I think it's because he doesn't know what is making the noise.
He seems happy, though a bit miffed at us for the medicine. I think he'll be friendlier once the whole thing is over!
He appears to be wary of couches/beds/tables - won't go on them on his own. I suspect he's been chased off them in the past! This is OK with me, as I don't want him on the table! We let him on the couch though, but he won't come unless we actually invite him to. He seems to greatly enjoy his couch time!
He's a real sweetie.

Milford's First Full Day
Milford arrived last night around 6pm.
He's a gorgeous black and white shorthair - and missing his tail!
He's not nervous of us at all! He was very brave last night and wandered around like he owned the place when we first let him out.
He's currently a little ill, so he needs medicine for the next few days. I don't blame him one bit for not wanting it - it's vile stuff!
He's incredibly docile being handled (even when trying to pill him - didn't try to scratch or hiss at all) and takes stroking and picking up well.
He's just jumped on the couch to see us for the first time (maybe because this is the first time hubby and I haven't been doting on him!). He's snuggled down in between the two of us, accepting petting.
He /loves/ sitting in our front window and looking at people and birds.
He's being quite clingy at the moment and meows quite pitifully if we leave him alone in a room too long! I think he really likes attention and being involved in the action.
Updates on Milford to follow, though I hope for his sake he isn't with us for too long - he deserves a nice, permanent home and a loving family!
